Week 4 - Diogo Barata


Hello once again! Happy Easter everyone!

So this week we are finally working on our first prototype of the game, not anything with tech or complex, just a simple low fidelity prototype, either on paper or digitally drawn. The first thing we did was to have a meeting to decide what parts of the game to prototype and what part each member work on. At the end of our discussion, we decided to split the prototype in 3 parts, the 3 main components of the game. We have the building part, the action/adventure part and the quest/achievement part. I choose the quest and achievement part because I had some ideas at that time and my colleagues liked them, so I put my hands to work to create the prototype for this.

I'm planning on finishing the prototype by tomorrow and have someone test it. It is not a very active gameplay part but it is a very important part of the game and therefore, in this test session, the things that I will be testing is how easy it is for the player to comprehend the interface, move between menus, select different missions, and some extra details. Oh and I will also ask for some features or elements that as a player they would like to see in the game.
