Week 4 - Caio Farias

Hey folks, how are you?

This week, although is a holiday, we were all connected with our project. Me, Barata and Daniel were talking about the low-fidelity prototype that we have to do to our game and to show it to our teacher and to the other colleagues. We had to address some themes related to the games, of which they are: quests, battle and city building.

Daniel took the part of city building, Barata took the quests and I took the battles. I confess that I really liked to get this theme, that's because, through it, it's possible to see the reaction of the person who will test our prototype, I mean: the person has to choose the enemy to attack; it will analyze whether the type of battle between the player and the enemy will be attacking in simultaneously or there will be a round to the player and to the monster (like the old, and good, D&D RPGs) to attack; it will observe the player's movement when trying to escape from the monsters; and, finally, it will check if there will be any delay in the attack, if it is simultaneous between the player and the monster.

When I think that we have to develop a game which will have battles, I always think in the time that I played LineAge II. Below you guys have a little sample of a real battle in the games ;) I hope one day, me and my colleagues, could develop some product like this one :D

Caio.
