Week 9 - Diogo Barata
Hey hey everyone, how was your week?
This week we have fantastic news, our first game prototype in Unity is complete and you can now play it! We have two releases here, one for Windows and another one for Mac so feel free to try it out, just remember that this is just the foundations of our game, we will work hard on this next month to develop a great demo of our game.
So this week we had to deliver the prototype as well as a player feedback report. We gave it all to finish the game for Tuesday and it was a pretty nice challenge. Even thou the three of us never touched Unity before, I'm pretty proud of what we develop. We have some basic features that we will improve with time, this features are:
> The city building part of the game
> The combat system
> And the item pickup system, as well as resource gathering and the inventory
Next we will work on improving this features based on what our players told us when they tested the game, as well as what we couldn't do for this delivery.
The player testing session was quite fun to do. I tested it with someone who has been helping us since the beginning with all this tests and workshops and it was a really great experience to see the look on that person's face when trying the game. We merged all the feedback we got and we produced a report with some ideas to change something in the game and well as to define the controls and presentation scheme (the adventure UI need to be worked on ASAP).
